Don PicI was born in a little out of the way place in the middle of Zululand. A year later my parents moved to Swaziland where we lived for 12 years. After a brief stay in South Africa, we immigrated to Canada where my parents settled in Sarnia, Ontario. After attending school in Chicago and Toronto, I ended up settling in Ottawa, the capital of Canada.

We moved to Ottawa to be a part of Arlington Woods Church.  For many years I was the Youth Pastor and Assistant/Associate Pastor involved in many aspects of church life.  For the last six years, I was the Senior Pastor providing leadership to the congregation. I resigned my position there in 2005 to pursue some other God-given areas of interest.

In 2006 I worked for YOUCAN, as Director of Development. YOUCAN is a by-youth, for-youth organization that does conflict resolution training. Then, in the spring of 2007, I joined the Canadian Bible Society as their Eastern Ontario Director and later their Canadian Director of Ministry. I left the Canadian Bible Society in 2016.

My non-profit experience taught me how to work well with volunteers and appreciate the value of the team.

I am a graduate of the Arrow Leadership Program for young leaders in Canada.  I have also served as a Host Pastor for the Willow Creek Leadership Summit.

My interests include travel, reading, camping, basketball and war history.
